Prior to founding Cameron | Ringwood, Jordan was a partner at the biggest law firm in the world. While there, he learned firsthand that bigger is not better for the vast majority of companies and individuals. He formed Cameron | Ringwood to provide the same quality of service big law offers in a more individualized and client-focused setting.
Jordan is an experienced litigator and business strategist whose practice balances complex commercial litigation and compliance consulting. As a litigator, Jordan regularly represents clients in claims involving contract enforcement/interpretation, copyright/trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation, licensing disputes, ownership/member disputes, employment disputes, unlawful competition, fraud, and consumer-based claims such as class action claims arising under the Telephone Consumer Protections Act and other similar consumer protection laws. Jordan also represents clients in appeals arising from these same areas of law.
As a consultant, Jordan performs deal due diligence, risk and liability assessments, compliance audits, and creates compliance strategies and corresponding policies related to consumer communications, advertising, and data privacy matters arising from state, federal, and international laws and regulations, including, as examples, the Federal CAN-SPAM Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the FTC’s Truth in Advertising regulations.

Acushnet Company
Represented one of the world’s premier golf brands in pursuing counterfeit claims against various individuals and entities dealing in unauthorized goods bearing world-famous trademarks. The cases resulted in the recovery of the unauthorized and counterfeit goods and significant monetary penalties against the Defendants.
Advanced Concrete Technologies
Represented the company in claims brought by disgruntled former owners for alleged breaches of governing agreements, fiduciary duties, and distribution obligations. Jordan obtained summary judgment in favor of his client on all monetary claims.
AHMARC, LLC
Represented company in unlawful detainer action against squatting commercial tenant. Jordan obtained judgment in the amount of $235,000.00 in favor of his client.
BD&P Company
Represented film producer on appeal from $8 million judgment entered in favor of hard money lender. Jordan successfully obtained the reversal and vacation of the judgment. Error v. Benaroya et al., 508 P.3d 135 (Utah Ct. App. 2022)
Global Uprising dba Cotopaxi
Defended against trademark cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Jordan obtained a favorable settlement for his client protecting its world famous trademark.
Harward Media
Represented seller against purchaser in breach of real estate sales contract. Jordan obtained a judgment in the amount of $507,453.49 in favor of his client.
Molly Maid of South Salt Lake
Defended against discrimination and constructive termination claims brought by disgruntled employees. Jordan obtained the dismissal of all claims.
PhotoPharmics
Represented a start-up technology company in a bet-the-company litigation matter arising from a breach of a licensing agreement related to certain patent technology. Jordan obtained an injunction against the Defendant, its affiliated entities, and all parties acting in concert or connection therewith, and a judgment of $4.7 million in favor of his client.
Plumbline Inc.
Represented client in a claim asserting breach of the print advertising contract. Jordan obtained a complete defense in a jury trial and an award of attorney’s fees in favor of his client.
PolicyScout, LLC
Represented client in asserting claims for fraud and solicitation against various serial TCPA plaintiffs who demanded payment in bad faith for alleged violations of telephone communications laws. Jordan obtained money judgments in favor of his client.
Prosper, Inc
Defended a distance education provider in a fraud lawsuit wherein the Plaintiff sought hundreds of millions of dollars in damages. After nearly five years of litigation, the California Federal Court dismissed Plaintiff’s lawsuit. Thereafter, the Plaintiff appealed the decision to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, who unanimously affirmed the trial court’s decision in Prosper’s favor. DuFour v. Allen, Case Nos. 14-56980, 14-57009 (9th Cir., 02/22/17).
Purple Innovation, LLC
Consulted in a Federal litigation matter involving trade defamation, trade libel, and unfair business practices by an allegedly unbiased product review site that, in collusion with a client competitor, posted false reviews and false information about the subject products. The Court entered an injunction against the review site and competitor and required them to disclose their relationship to the public.
Tab-HQ, Inc.
Represented client in pursuing claims arising under Utah’s Unfair Practice Act. Jordan obtained a judgment of $316,760.00 in favor of his client.
Xcite Satellite, LLC
Represented door-to-door sales company against a former sales manager for breach of non-competition covenants, and theft of confidential information and trade secrets. Jordan obtained a judgment of $601,000.00 in favor of his client.
XMission, L.C.
Represented this Internet service provider in various claims and lawsuits arising under the Federal CAN-SPAM Act. Jordan obtained Court entered injunctions and substantial monetary settlements.
ZooBuh, Inc.
Represented Internet access service in a lawsuit arising under the Federal CAN-SPAM Act against a foreign marketer for sending thousands of adult-themed emails to children in Utah without disclosing the explicit nature of the emails. Jordan obtained an injunction against the Defendant and its affiliates and an award of $4.5 million in favor of his client.

Defended against ADA class action litigation arising from the accessibility of the website. Prepared responses to ERSP and FTC civil investigative demands.

Represented co-trustees against beneficiary attempts to obtain the emergency removal of, and injunctions against, Trustees. Jordan obtained a complete defense in favor of the co-trustees.
Auto Industry Companies
Defended against copyright infringement and trade secret misappropriation claims arising from automobile tuning technology and corresponding software code. Jordan obtained a summary dismissal of all claims.

Represented award-winning filmmaker to protect intellectual property rights and assets. Jordan successfully defended against the investor’s attempt to usurp creative rights and other intellectual property rights related to the client’s films.

Advised product manufacturers regarding reporting/recall requirements arising from alleged injuries sustained from product use. Prepared responses to CPSC Reports.

Drafted online terms and conditions, privacy policies, and marketing policies and procedures. Consulted clients regarding the same.
